Our on-staff Evaluation Team collects data throughout the year from our training participants and teams. We use this to inform every part of our training.

Participant Satisfaction
In 2017, Referrals Training satisfaction reached an all-time high, with 94% of trainees reporting feeling “very satisfied” with all aspects of their training experience, including the way the topics were addressed, the information provided by the presenters, and the teaching methods and activities. The percentage of trainees who reported being “not satisfied” was under 1% on all measures.
“I thought it was a very informative training delivered very non-judgmentally in a really good, balanced way.”
“I can’t say enough good things about [the training]. As an Outreach Coordinator, whenever I go to a training what I always look at is if it is put on competently and does it make sense for the material and the audience? It was brilliant. There was food, a full range of activities (group and individual), there was opportunity for people to share their experiences and ask questions, the networking aspect was fantastic…I was just floored at [the trainer’s] competency, her passion, her compassion, and professionalism.”
Knowledge and Skills
Our trainings effectively prepare staff to counsel and refer pregnant clients, building staff knowledge, confidence, and skills.
“I did feel more educated, empowered, at a concrete level rather than having an abstract knowledge, knowing what to do if a client comes to me with this… they did expand my knowledge on what steps to take if it does come up with a client.”
I have the skills and information I need to effectively refer a client with an untended pregnancy for pregnancy termination if she requests it.

Intention to Refer
Our trainings inspire real-world changes in practice. 76% of all trainees leave our trainings prepared and willing to refer for abortion. Over two thirds of participants (68%) who previously did not refer for abortion indicated on their post-training survey that they would refer for abortion in the future.

“It opened my mind. Some of the information I had going into it was wrong. I am more educated. I am more prepared with this information, while as before I would’ve not offered this information.”
