
Mary O’Doherty (she/her) is Executive Director of the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, which mobilizes and supports its 60 member programs and allies to end intimate partner violence. Mary advocates for policy improvements and financial support for survivors and the member programs that serve them at the state and federal levels.
Before her current role, Mary was Deputy Director of the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence (KCADV) where she created KCADV’s housing and Economic Empowerment programs, which helped hundreds of participants buy homes and vehicles, pursue a post-secondary education and start small businesses. Mary was responsible for the development of KCADV Homes and KCADV Homes Lexington, which used Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to create 84 units of supportive housing for domestic violence victims. In 2014 the Allstate Foundation named her Advocate of the Year. Mary joined the non-profit world more than 16 years ago after an 18-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor.
