Making Quality Referrals for Abortion Care

This interactive workshop discusses what happens when individuals don’t get the referrals they need for abortion care. Gain specific tools you can use to improve the quality of your referrals and health education.

Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • who needs referrals for abortion and why
  • potential consequences of withholding information about abortion care, sharing misinformation about abortion, or providing inappropriate referrals
  • the impact of referrals to crisis pregnancy centers
  • the impact on patients who do not receive abortion services; and
  • how to use vetted resources and tools to make quality abortion referrals.
