You play a critical role in the health and well-being of your clients, patients, and community. We empower you with information and skills you need to improve coordination of care for people seeking abortion.

Health and social service providers — physicians, nurses, counselors, advocates, case managers, social workers, and more — are critical links to helping people obtain the healthcare they need. By addressing abortion within the context of the full range of people’s reproductive healthcare needs and our broader values, we help providers and local partners make a significant contribution to people’s health and autonomy.

We partner with providers to integrate abortion referrals practices throughout five of the most critical systems of care for people of reproductive age – domestic violence and sexual assault, HIV, primary care, family planning, and substance use treatment. We’ve also trained youth organizations, behavioral health groups, National Guard units, ministry and clergy, and other community organizations.

We see potential for any individual who cares for people to play a role in ensuring accessible abortion care. Our work around making referrals is applicable to everyone, especially professionals who work in the following fields:

Domestic & Sexual Violence

Substance Use

HIV

Primary Care

Family Planning
