Resources for Providers

We recommend that all pregnant patients be offered information on all pregnancy options, including ending the pregnancy or continuing the pregnancy to parenthood or adoption. Research shows that following these recommendations better meets patient needs and leads to higher satisfaction, regardless of the patient’s pregnancy decision. Follow this expert developed, step-by-step guide for every pregnant patient, in every visit.

This toolkit contains tips and templates to support your organization’s response to client needs around pregnancy and abortion. We suggest using this resource to improve referral practices and tracking, provider conversations, patient satisfaction surveys, intake/screening for reproductive health needs, and more.

This visual guide can be used to facilitate all-options pregnancy counseling, or to support a conversation with someone who is not but may become pregnant. This guide can also be used as a take-home resource for patients/clients.

This resource includes simple definitions for common terms used in pregnancy and abortion care. We suggest using this resource to improve your abortion literacy.

Resources for Patients and Clients

These pocket cards are designed to be given to people who are seeking or considering an abortion. The cards have QR codes that link to AbortionFinder.org and INeedAnA.com. Individuals can use their smart phone’s camera to scan the QR codes and be taken to each website. An individual can also type the URL to access each website using a web browser. We suggest documenting when you use this resource and following up with the patient/client to see if they were able to access the care they needed.

These cards are designed to be given to people who are or may become pregnant to assess their relationship safety, health and wellness, and pregnancy options.

How We Work

We then develop a tailored TA service overview that outlines how we can support your organization in implementing policies, processes, and practices that promote stigma-free access to abortion and other stigmatized health services as an integral part of your standards of care and your organizational culture.
