2022 marks Provide’s 30th anniversary!

For three decades, Provide has adapted to the ever-changing abortion access landscape and developed a rich legacy of activism, training, advocacy, and organizing. While our strategies and our reach have expanded over time, the commitment of our founders remains today – to increase access to abortion for all pregnant people.

The story of the last 30 years couldn’t have been written without the people who attended our trainings and provided a better future for their clients, or the donors who stepped up each year to ensure that clients in the South and Midwest were given accurate pregnancy options counseling. And of course we wouldn’t be here today without all the dedicated staff and board members who led the organization through new missions and new programs. Thank you to all those who came before us for paving the way!

“Now I feel empowered enough to train my co-workers to be a little more sensitive when those calls come in. They could have been a little insensitive so teaching them just to really listen to what the client wants. Because we all play a role, we don’t know who’s on the other end of that phone. Whatever they decide, we want them to have a good experience. The worst thing to me would be for someone to be traumatized by an experience. They have to be attentive so we can send them to the right place, we may only have one opportunity with that person, they may never call back so we have to get it right.”
