Becca Lee-Simpson, Director of Marketing and Communications

Becca Lee-Simpson (she/her/hers) is a storyteller and agent for change who believes in challenging interlocking systems of oppression and working together for radical liberation. As a strategic communications leader, she seeks to cultivate learning and growth and create spaces where humans can thrive as their authentic selves.

Becca began her career in 2012 as a specialist in nonprofit marketing, communications, and public relations. She entered the reproductive health and rights space when she joined Planned Parenthood of the Heartland in Des Moines, Iowa in 2015 and later Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. Becca has committed herself to learning from and working alongside leaders in reproductive justice to be a better advocate for human rights around bodily autonomy, reproduction, sexuality, and safe communities.

Becca holds a master’s degree in English with a concentration in women’s studies from Iowa State University, as well as bachelor’s degrees in English and Secondary Teacher Education from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. A lifelong learner, she is now working on a master’s degree in organizational and interpersonal communication at Colorado State University.

Outside of her professional attributes, Becca lives in Fort Collins, CO with her spouse and their troupe of small mammals. She enjoys hiking in the mountains, reading, baking, knitting, meditating, streaming too much television, and completing the daily NYT Spelling Bee.
